Music has always been the mainstay in Sharon’s life both as a professional singer and a former secondary school music educator for over 25 years.

Sharon was the featured vocalist for 12 years with The Prime Time Big Band under the direction of George Laidlaw. During that time, they performed at many Big Band Festivals, Jazz Festivals and various concert venues throughout southwestern Ontario. Two CD’s were recorded and released with Sharon as the featured vocalist.

Sharon has enjoyed working with other Big Bands and was a featured vocalist in “The Three Jazz Divas” Show with The Fabulous Tribute Band under the direction of Greg Bush. They performed at the Studio Theatre in Hamilton Place as well as at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

The majority of her performances involve working in small jazz combo settings at various venues and Jazz Festivals such as: the Can-Am Jazz Festival; the Sarnia Jazz Festival; the London Jazz Society; the Bluewater Jazz Society; the Orillia Jazz Festival; and the Georgian Sound Festival. On numerous occasions, Sharon has performed at Aeolian Hall and the Wolf Auditorium as a solo artist and as a vocalist for a variety of musically-themed events.

In addition to the two recordings with The Prime Time Big Band Sharon was also the featured vocalist on Tom Stark’s Sugar Boy album. Finally in 2007, Sharon released her debut album Moving in a Slow Groove.

After leaving the southwestern Ontario 11 years ago, Sharon worked extensively with guitarist David Chun throughout the cities of Barrie and Orillia. Recently, she returned to the London area where she continues to perform.
